Vellayani - Thiruvananthapuram (keralam)

Most of the people are well aware of tourist attractions in Kerala like Kovalam, kumarakom, Munnar, Vayanadu etc... (or can be so by surfing internet sites like http://www.keralatourism.com/) So I made up my mind to capture some thing which no body claims as tourist attraction or simply in our words "no rushes but a natural place" . WhenI was sharing this idea with my friend Unni, he suggested me some places like"Vellayani", "mookkunnimala" etc.

On 27thof october 2006, we set to capture photos of mookkunnimala and Vellayani. En route to Mookkunnimala (its a hilly area) is too good to describe, sorry that we couldn't take many snaps because, that area was under Indian Military (Military base) so civilians were not permitted after a point. So we took one or two snaps then we returned from mookkunnimala and set our wheels rolling towards our other destination called "Vellayani".

Vellayani lake is a beautiful scenic place, except for some movie or tele serial shooting the tourist flow density to that place is "nil". So we decided to hunt on that place. When we reached at Vellayani lake, the natural scenes that we saw was mind blowing.. lush green fields, beautiful lake, great view of mookkunnimala hill from that place.... What ever we saw were simply awesome.
